Club Sup x McMullin

Designing graphics for a pop up dinner event held for strangers to bond over a meal and wine as a project to promote community and connection.

This project involved intertwining Club Sup’s essence of fortifying community and connection with McMullin & co.’s distinct penchant for organic forms and neutral colours. I achieved this by incorporating key motifs such as shared platters of food, wine, eclectic plates and serving ware in a natural hand-drawn aesthetic. The graphics were designed to suit different forms of social media content requirements including: Instagram stories, reels, posts and EDMs. I also created animations using Procreate as a form of visual storytelling and a more interactive mode of marketing.

This project involved finding a fine balance to appeal to the different audience of both brands - Club Sup’s community of food and event lovers and McMullin & co.’s community of furniture, homewares and design lovers.

1 Animated Reel

 

Reel animated using Procreate for an engaging and dynamic portrayal of the marketing message. Hand drawn frames using strong motifs and a consistent colour palette.

2 Instagram Posts

 

Mixing hand drawn typography and graphics with photographs to create interest and juxtaposition. The typography was developed to be irregular with soft rounded edges to evoke a sense of fun and lightheartedness, meanwhile reflecting McMullin’s penchant for organic forms in their furniture designs.

3 Instagram Stories

 

Graphics and messaging repurposed to suit a 9:16 Instagram story format. Additional assets produced such as a menu, which carries through the same typography, soft wavy shapes and colour scheme.
